It just gets better and better.

The National's new album High Violet is streaming over at The New York Times website! Trying to express how excited I am for this album's release would be futile. I'm head over heels in love with this band and the tracks that have been released thus far have been incredible. I would expect nothing less from these guys, you can hear the album for yourself now, and nab some mp3s from it below.
The National: Afraid of Everyone
The National: Bloodbuzz Ohio

Department of Eagles, (featuring Daniel Rossen of Grizzly Bear (!)) will be releasing Archive 2003-2006 on July 20th. The album will feature recordings that Rossen and his former college roommate Fred Nicolaus made prior to the release of their debut In Ear Park. You can hear a track from Archive entitled Brightest Minds here (via Pitchfork.)

In other new track news, M.I.A. released a new song from her upcoming yet-to-be-titled album. The track is entitled Born Free and it seems as if M.I.A. has had some serious punk injected into her. Hear it (via Def Pen Radio71.8) here.
